Emma Walker

Senior Occupational Therapists & Director 

Emma has worked as an occupational therapist since graduating from the University of South Australia in 1995 and has a depth of experience in rehabilitation, community and outpatient services. She has interest in the use of assistive technology, mobility equipment and home modifications to improve function and is committed to working closely with clients to identify solutions. Emma works with individuals to set goals; develop skills; and access support to participate in everyday activities. Emma is available to see people in their home/community setting or in a clinic setting as required.

 

When not working Emma enjoys time with family, friends and her animals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy, University of South Australia (1995)

  • Diploma in Dementia Care, University of Tasmania (2018 )

Kat Mitchell

Senior Occupational Therapist

Kat graduated from La Trobe University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, and spent the following 10 years working within the public hospital system in both Melbourne and Launceston.  This provided her with valuable and considerable experience working with adults in acute care, rehabilitation, and community settings.  Kat is passionate about working with clients in their home and community settings to achieve positive outcomes based on their individual goals.

When not working Kat enjoys being with her family, walking, mountain biking and spending time at the beach.

Annabelle Dent

Senior Occupational Therapist

Annabelle graduated from La Trobe University in 2003. Her professional experience includes varied clinical roles; service development; research and leadership positions in Victoria, the UK and Tasmania. Annabelle brings her breadth of experience to our team in servicing the local community. Annabelle's clinical focus is working with clients with neurodegenerative conditions, addressing complex assistive technology needs and providing home modification advice to address barriers to home access.

Gail Marik

Administrative Assistant

Gail has worked in administration and reception roles for over 30 years and enjoys the challenge of a busy practice. She believes in making the most of every day and leads a very busy life combining her administration work for Adapt OT and operating a small business with her husband Tom.  Gail enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and playing tennis.
